Why I made it
Ask one model what people think and it tends to produce one smooth, average answer. I wanted to know whether simulated people could retain distinct backgrounds, preferences and contradictions across a research conversation.
What it became
SurvAI created synthetic personas, had them answer surveys and hold AI-to-AI Mom Test interviews, ran those conversations in batches and assembled conclusions across the population.
What happened
The working system explored both the promise and the central failure mode of synthetic research: models can simulate a useful range of perspectives, but only when the persona construction and prompting resist collapsing everyone toward the same voice.
